I began my career with a degree in Biological Sciences before qualifying as a Registered Paediatric Nurse at Edinburgh Napier University in 2006. My early nursing work focused on supporting children and families living with complex and life-limiting conditions. I then went on to work in Paediatric Critical Care where I later became a Practice Educator focused on supporting staff development and building confidence in the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care.

After completing further qualifications in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting), I moved into community practice, supporting families and promoting health and wellbeing. I hold a strong belief that early intervention not only empowers families to make informed decisions about their wellbeing but also helps reduce health inequalities and improves long-term outcomes for children and young people.

In 2022, I joined 51³Ô¹ÏÍø as a lecturer within the Division of Nursing and Paramedic Science. My professional interests centre around child and maternal health, community and public health practice and the support of children and families facing complex or life-limiting conditions. I am a strong believer in person-centred approaches to care, promoting health equity and using education to drive positive change within healthcare and communities.
